Under Presure Divers in India – Offering World Class Diving to Indian Divers at the DRT Show Mumbai
2019 was a great year for Under Pressure Divers and we were very happy to welcome lots more divers from India!
We enjoyed diving with all the guys so much, and our guests left us so very happy, that we decided to meet for ourselves some more potential clients, and hook up with some of the very best agents from there. Scuba Diving is really taking off amongst the Indian crowd and we wanted to be part of the excitement happening in this up and coming part of the diving world.
From the 19 th of October for three days the world trade center in Mumbai was full of over 50 dive stands from all over the world. Dive centers, liveaboard agents and environmental organisations all shared in one common goal to give Indians what they want from the diving world.
There was a selection of great prices from top brands including equipment suppliers Suunto who were giving away one of the newly released Suunto D5 dive computer. A prize everybody wanted to walk away with. Sadly, we did not win a Suunto d5, but we did manage to bag ourselves a new Suunto SK8 compass
which will be used by our students in the future. Making the navigation exercises a lot easier for our up and coming clients.

Meh… Caleb less so but he is hanging with the dive trainers from the film ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’!
After the release of the popular Indian movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, with a large part of this film about learning to dive in the Costa Brava, the Indian people have gone a little crazy for the joys of diving and for our beautiful Costa Brava home base – and who can blame them? The market has expanded to accommodate this new enthusiasm to dive – we welcomed more and more guests from India at our Costa Brava centre last year. The influence has persuaded several Indian travellers to explore Egypt – both those parts of the world we are happy to call home.
We were pleased to meet Anees Adenwala and his team of professional divers at Orca dive center Mumbai, responsible for training and supervising on this movie and many more Indian movies with under water scenes. (See pic above). Good luck to them and keep up the great work!
